Here today, Gone tomorrow

This was part of a group exhibition for the Heathland Artworks Exhibition. Situated within Surrey Hills. Each of these glass birds have their own colour. they start from a solid hue, gradually becoming paler until the last bird is totally transparent. This symbolises the idea of extinction and turning invisible to society.

Transition Exhibition

I will be exhibiting two glass sculptures as part of a joint exhibition with other artists from UCA, Farnham. Our exhibition is called 'Transition' Transition Craft and Design Exhibition and is featured as part of the London Design Festival 2018! The exhibition is open from the 18th September - 23rd September! Make sure to pop into Espacio Gallery and take a look at all of our hard work!

Ann Downey is an established sculptress who has worked with clay, stone and wood for 40 years. She has mainly made sculptures for both outside and inside environments. She has been heavily influenced by people watching, organic forms along with her immediate surroundings and the natural environment.

Recently, Ann Downey has ventured into glass sculpture. She is currently studying a MA course at UCA Farnham in Creative Glass.

Ann Downey has had exhibitions both in the UK and internationally, including Spain and the UAE. Her most recent exhibition is part of the Surrey Hills, Heathland Artworks.

Ann Downey is based in West London and is available for commission or gallery work.
